Halloween Graveyard Ideas
Mid October, most of the leaves are turning yellow and Halloween is its on way! It is time to decorate your lawn for this great holiday, and how about making your own cemetery? We will help you with making your own Halloween Graveyard.
Yes, cemeteries are creepy, but isn’t Halloween about making creepy stuff? Well, mostly it is not, but not in this case. Making gravestones will make your lawn look so scary, and yet it would show off your outdoors in its best light. It is actually not so complicated to make one.
For the simple traditional gravestone making you will need: Tombstone Template, Epitaph Templates, Gray paper bags, Cutting mat, Craft knife, Sponge applicator, Craft paint, black Cardboard, Garden stakes, 4 inches, LED tea lights. First off you need to print the tombstone and epitaph templates, then you need to make a stone out of a bag by placing the template on top of a bag, and tracing around the top edge. Cut along that line to create stone shape. Tape epitaph template to cutting mat, and use craft knife to cut out letters to make a stencil.
The next step would be transferring the epitaph to the “tombstone”. This can be done by using a sponge with craft paint. Once it is dry, insert a cardboard piece to make a good form, also by adding stakes through the bottom of the bag into the ground. Add LED tea lights into the tombstone, which can be weighted by sand and your backyard cemetery is done! Isn’t it simple enough to want to make, yet so amazing and creative?
